The Monday Morning Report Should Build Itself
If someone on your team spends the first hours of the week copying numbers into a deck, this is the first automation to build.

The weekly report is a strange ritual. It is important enough that leadership expects it, and repetitive enough that everyone dreads producing it. It is also one of the easiest processes to automate completely.
Where the numbers come from
Most weekly reports pull from the same four or five places: the CRM, the ads accounts, the accounting system, the support desk and a spreadsheet or two. Each has an API or a scheduled export. Once those connections exist, the data can be collected every Monday at 7am without anyone logging in.
Why the commentary matters more than the chart
A chart shows that revenue was down. A sentence explains that it was down because two large invoices slipped into next week. The second is what leadership actually wants. Modern automation can write that sentence by comparing this week with the last few and describing what changed, for a person to review before it is sent.
What to include
- Three to five numbers that actually drive decisions.
- A short written summary of what changed and why.
- Anything outside its normal range, flagged clearly.
- A link to the live dashboard for anyone who wants detail.
Keep it short. A report that arrives on time and gets read is worth more than a comprehensive one that arrives Wednesday.
